Menopause at Work — Romania

Retention strategy, not a wellness perk

Nearly half your workforce will go through menopause — usually at the peak of their careers, aged 45–55. In Romania, 67% have never mentioned it at work, and the cost hides in presenteeism, lost focus and "unexplained" departures of your most experienced women.

Annual Certification Partner Starter + quarterly refreshers + "Menopause-Friendly Employer" certification + annual re-survey & market benchmark report RON 18,000–30,000 / yr (≈ €3,600–6,000)
2026 launch programme — founding-partner status: the first 5 companies to join receive a price locked for 2 years, a co-branded case study (with your approval) and visibility in the public launch of the annual "Menopause at Work in Romania" Index. Honest about where we stand: I am early on the Romanian market — which is exactly why the first partners get the best terms I will ever offer.

📊 Board-ready measurement

Pre/post symptom scores on the internationally validated Menopause Rating Scale (MRS), self-reported work impact and intention-to-stay — the same outcome-reporting logic used by leading UK/US providers, benchmarked against Romanian national data and, for annual partners, against the rest of the portfolio.

🔒 GDPR-anonymous by design

Surveys store no names, emails, IPs or free text. Results are aggregate-only with a hard n≥5 suppression threshold. Neither we nor the employer can ever link a response to a person. Full security & data-protection fact sheet →

🌍 HQ-policy alignment

Already running Peppy, Maven or an internal menopause policy at group level? I map deliverables to your existing framework so Romania reports upward in the same language. And note the clock: UK Menopause Action Plans are voluntary from April 2026 and are expected to become mandatory from 2027 for employers with 250+ staff under the Employment Rights Act — Romanian sites that align now do it cheaply and on their own schedule.

🧩 Smaller entry points (2026)

Below procurement thresholds: an anonymous pulse-survey "Express" report for SMBs (RON 2,900), per-seat manager e-learning with named certificates (RON 45/seat, min. 50 — preview the English module), a conversation-practice simulator for managers, and a monthly white-label HR content subscription. Each credits in full towards the Starter package.

🎓 The "Menopause Ambassador" Kit

Train your own internal resource person: live instruction, a complete manual, a 12-month communications kit, a named certificate and an annual refresh — an annual licence of €1,400/yr (RON 7,000). It covers the named-contact criterion (4.1) of the certification, strengthens pillar 4 and keeps support alive between sessions.

🇷🇴 Romanian-speaking staff abroad

Employers in the UK, Ireland and Germany run the same programme for their Romanian-speaking employees — native-language support, the same engagement and measurement. Details below ↓

The reverse wedge

For employers of Romanian-speaking staff (UK / IE / DE)

Romanian is one of the most widely spoken migrant languages in the UK, Ireland and Germany — in healthcare, logistics, manufacturing and hospitality, whole shifts run in Romanian. Your wellbeing benefits, however, run in English or German, and health is the last topic most people will raise in a second language. The result: the women you most need to reach are the least likely to use what you already pay for.

  • Native-language delivery: the same masterclass, manager briefing and anonymous pulse survey — in Romanian, for your Romanian-speaking employees.
  • English reporting: HR receives the aggregate readout, playbook and measurement in English, aligned with your existing wellbeing framework.
  • Same engagement logic: attendance and honesty rise when the conversation happens in the mother tongue — that is the whole point of the programme in Romania, applied to your site.

How it runs for diaspora teams

  • Delivered live-online across time zones, or on-site by arrangement
  • Manager briefing available in English so line managers of any nationality can attend
  • Invoiced from the same EU (Irish) entity — one clean vendor setup for UK/IE/DE payroll countries
  • Priced from the same ladder as Romanian engagements, quoted in EUR/GBP

FAQ

What procurement asks

How do you invoice?
From an Irish (EU) entity, with standard intra-EU B2B reverse-charge VAT for Romanian VAT-registered companies. One vendor setup covers all packages.
Is this a medical service?
No — deliberately. All content is lifestyle education and workplace capability (nutrition, sleep, focus, manager skills). Anything medical — diagnosis, hormone therapy — is referred to employees' own physicians. That keeps the programme's scope, risk and data profile clean.
Can you deliver across multiple sites / countries?
Yes. Default delivery is live-online in Romanian or English; on-site days in Bucharest, Cluj, Iași and Timișoara are batched quarterly. Diaspora-heavy teams (Ireland, UK) can be covered in the same engagement.
What does the certification actually certify?
A 5-pillar standard (culture, policy & practices, training, engagement, working environment) scored annually against documented criteria, with a renewal ritual — modelled on the UK's accreditation approach and adapted for Romania. Details on the certification page — the full standard in English, including the BS 30416 mapping, is here.
You're a small vendor. What happens if Antonela isn't available?
Honestly: yes, the programme is built around one specialist — that is exactly what gives it its quality. For continuity: sessions are scheduled 4–6 weeks ahead, rescheduling is contractually guaranteed within a maximum of 10 working days, the materials (playbook, cheat sheets, recordings where agreed) remain yours, and the survey and reporting run on infrastructure that does not depend on any one person.
Is there any legal or medical risk for the company?
The programme is designed to reduce risk, not add it: the content is strictly non-medical (nutrition, habits, manager capability), any medical question is redirected to employees' own physicians, and health data never reaches the employer at individual level — which also protects you from perceived-discrimination risk. Manager training explicitly covers the legal "red lines". The security & data-protection fact sheet and framework clauses are available at proposal stage.
